Minus 1 and dry when driving in.

Not a good weekend to be an Aussie.. Shocking is the only way you could possibly describe what the Australian Test team have been up to.

Ball tampering has been going on for ages but surely not even their captain was that stupid to allow it to carry on now a days ..TV shows everything, but as we all know sport is competitive and everybody is after that edge to win..

Steve Smith is probably the worlds best batsman has allowed it to happen in his full knowledge. Yes shocking.. His career and international respect must surely be over.

Moving on.

Bangor on Saturday was sunny and warm. No better racecourse to be on when weather conditions are good (no stands).

The way they look after owners is an example to every racecourse in the country and many reasons why owners just love going back there. A top class lunch and half a bottle of wine to very owner..

Our day was not a good one as Rosmuc Relay was disappointing and probably has had enough for the season while Cloone Lady finished 4th; I disagreeing with the Racing Post reporter on his comments.. I feel she ran well over a trip short of her best and there will be much more to come  from her..

Another good touch from Bangor that many other courses need to take note of.. The first four horses owners were asked into the directors room to watch the replay and have a glass of champagne.. Yes a good touch and it did not matter that the winning horse had at least 30 syndicate members... They all celebtrated with a glass of Champagne.. ..Yes Bangor for a small independent jumps racecourse is top class

We have five runners today...Agent Memphis, Blazon, Milord and Commodore Barry at Huntingdon and Kayf Storm at Market Rasen and for my thoughts on their chances please click here.

I hate running two horses in the same race but today needs must.. Mikey Hamill who rides Commodore Barry in the last is having his last ever ride in a conditional jockeys race.. Tomorrow age takes him into fully fledged jockey status and although he still claims he is no longer eligible to ride in Boys or conditional jockeys races..

My last week's racing could be summed up by a John Denver song. Some days are stones, some days are diamonds...
