Blimey, that was some sale yesterday.. Newmarket is not normal a place for selling pointers but for the second year running this sale took off.. Huge prices again..Aiden Murphy and I bought Lot 23 Isle Of Gold..It also made me realise that the mare Bare Assets I bought at Cheltenham last month was very good value..
We have one runner today on the flat at Chepstow..
Ajero comes out again quite quickly, but there are so few races for him.. we need to get a 3rd run in to him to qualify for a handicap mark.. One that could be a difficult one to assess, especially when you look at the current ratings of the two horses that he finished second to.. Anyway for my thoughts on his chances please click here.
Also tonight Dandy Dan takes on the best hunter chasers in the country for the prestigious Horse and Hound Cup.. Lauren rides again but it will be a very different ball game to the hack around Cheltenham when they won there a month again..Anyway good luck to DD and Lauren.

Having to shout “weyhey” if someone spills a drink or drops a glass in the pub.
Saying “Aaaaaah” after taking the first sip of a cold beer.
Having to have a beer at the airport, even though it is before 6am.
Staring at your phone in silent horror until the unknown number stops ringing
Hearing a recording of your own voice and deciding it’s perhaps best never to speak again
The relief when someone doesn’t answer their phone within three rings and you can hang up.
Being obsessed with the weather.
