Plus 13 and damp when driving in

Yesterday was meant to be all about thunderstorms and fishing. Both failed to come to fruition. No thunderstorms and no fish.

Conditions on the Wye looked perfect, if only we had a bit of cloud.. No it was bright sunshine and very warm.. 25 degrees. Lovely to be sitting on the bank, but not if you are in the water trying to do the impossible and catch a salmon.

There were plenty in the river which is something I was not seen for a while.

The fish had several people to worry about. Me with a line, fly and hook and then there were the wild swimmers, canoes and paddle boards.. in fact I wondered whether the Wye had become a theme park as a result of lockdown?

Whatever it was a lovely day with no mobile reception.

David Bass and Ciaran Gethings were in to ride out.
