Plus 12 and dry when driving in. Too warm? We had our first frost on Sunday morning..

Tom Bellamy was in for one lot this morning and we worked Silver Eagle and Rhianna.

Graham Potts our vet was in for his weekly visit and this morning was always going to be a long one as we gastro scoped about a dozen horses. This is something we do annually… Here are some questions and answers about gastro scoping.. and a video but not of one of ours..

Oh yes Tuesday is also the day when the handicapper reassess our horses .. the ones that have run and already have a handicap mark; even ones that have not, and then there are the horses that have not run and seen to mysteriously go up or down depending on his mood?. Anyway these are this weeks movers and shakers. Sunblazer down 6 to 102, Flemensmix enters at 105 and Tara's Rainbow at 94.

This weeks big news will probably come from Newmarket’s HIT sales. Ex flat horses that make jumpers.. I am not heading down there but will try to buy at least one; but it is a hard market taking on foreign buyers from all over the world. I am very happy to be sent one but buying there really is difficult.

Good news is coming out of France where William Fox Pitt took an awful fall while competing in an event in Le Lion-d'Angers. William is now out of an induced coma, breathing on his own and talking to family.

A set of all Silver Racing Silks/colours with a matching tassle made a record £120,000.00 at Sotherbys yesterday..
