Plus 8 and cloudy here in Tongue

Another great run from Ballyknock Lad yesterday at Bangor.. He tried, he jumped but he finished second.

Seriously it was a good run and he will improve again for a more galloping course when the season proper starts in September. A decent race awaits him.

Archie and his mates went to Gifford Circus last night. They loved it.. Always good fun and great family entertainment.

Mat and I are away today. Mat is home in Nottingham and I am staying with my old mate Sam Morshead.

David Bass was in for a couple of lots..

David is heading off on holiday next week.. there is no jump racing after Sunday so jockeys and those involved in Jump racing can escape for a few days..Deserved..

This a good time to close jump racing as it means that jockeys can get away.. Personally I feel it should be longer than 10 days.. How many of you would be happy with just 10 days a year..

The next time we have a break from Jump racing is in September (5 days) when frankly it is the wrong time as all the yards are getting busy and jockeys will be schooling and riding work.. revving up for the winter part of the season.

Dave Miller with daughter Carolyn and son-in-law Will called in to see our latest Kim Bailey Racing Partnership horse Desaray.

Henry Kimbell called in late morning to see Another Venture and Kings Simba

Little Jimmy Asks his dad for a telly in his room. He reluctantly agrees.

Next day Jimmy comes downstairs and asks 'Dad what is love juice?'

Dad looks horrified and tells Jimmy all about sex.

Jimmy sits there with his mouth open in amazement.

Dad says 'so what were you watching?'

Jimmy replies 'Tennis'
