Plus 12 and dry when driving in.

A long day.. Goodwood fun as always thanks to Keith and Liz Ellis, although the journey home was well over 3 hours..

Good ‘old’ Peter Kerr doing the steering.. always appreciated.

We met up with Keith and Liz on the way down and then stopped off to see Liz’s Amazing D’azy and her stunning colt foal by Kayf Tara at Westerlands Stud before heading on to Goodwood Racecourse.. Traffic around the racecourse was very bad which was unusual.

Yes we were late, because of the traffic.. David and Katherine Todd waiting for us..

It was wet and windy and the ground was soft.. very soft. Nebo was second in the Richmond Stakes which pleased Julie and David Martin.. Good to see them… Much discussion of the winter months ..Their horses Charbel, Minella Warrior and Johnny Ocean all returning to Thorndale soon.

Met up with Paul and Helen Nicholson who have a share in the KBRP horse Our Belle Amie while watching the 4.20 from Stratford..

Graham Potts our vet was in for his Friday visit while Lakefield joined the yard having spent just over a week in isolation with Lucy Jackson.

Test match at Old Trafford.. England to win..
