Plus 10 and dry when driving in...

A weekend of sport and one that would not go down as one of the best for the English Rugby side..Being beaten by Fiji  is hardly the ideal World Cup warm up game..

Talking sport.. The hospital bound Norman Carter missed out on being at York for his horses big win. Luckily it was not his turn for the horse to run in his colours, but even so not ideal to be watching in GR.. Annoyingly for Normal his 4G ran out (stopped working) after 2 furlongs, so he missed the rest of the race…..

Archie had two of his cricketing mates (Tommy Boorman and Angus Catto) over for lunch yesterday.. plus parents.. I met my first Ineus.. impressive bit of kit..

Tommy did well to make 21 when opening the batting for Gloucester against NZ last night.. NZ won by 22 runs..

The Hundreds final was a cracker..The Oval Invincibles won by 14 runs..

Monday morning and a guest rider outer.. Paddy Clarkson was here.. His Dad Tom rode in a charity race at Newbury for me some years back..

A blonde was summoned to court to appear as a witness in a lawsuit. The prosecutor opened his questioning with,

"Where were you the night of August 24th?"

"Objection!" said the defense attorney. "Irrelevant!"

"Oh, that's okay," said the blonde from the witness stand. "I don't mind answering the question."

"I object!" the defense said again.

"No, really," said the blonde. "I'll answer."

The judge ruled: "If the witness insists on answering, there is no reason for the defense to object."

So the prosecutor repeated the question:

"Where were you the night of August 24th?"

The blonde replied brightly, "I don't know."
