Plus 9 and damp when driving in. Yes it rained overnight

The Lucky Spinners Partnership were very happy people after their horse Silver Kayf won at Huntingdon on Saturday.

A good front running ride by Mikey Hamill, Silver Kayf made all and bar knocking the second last out of the ground he was pretty good. We done Peter Kerr another one of his KBRP horses. To watch Silver Kayf's race click here.

Most of the Partnership were at Huntingdon so I imagine there were a few sore heads yesterday..

At Ascot we did not fare so well. Johnny Ocean pulled up, not helped by the fact that he did not stop when passing the starting gate on the way to the start, while Abbreviate who jumped brilliantly ran out of puff having made too much effort in front.. He will be better on softer ground probably. David Bass at least won the last the bumper. Yesterday at Exeter Braw Angus finished 5th..

9.30 Ben Thompson was here to see me. Ben installed and sold me the gallop camera idea.

Graham Potts was here this morning for his Tuesday vet visit. A day early

This is a shocking story.

The Ashes first Test over.. Joe Roots said it did not feel like a 10 wicket defeat…It was.

Probably one of the best post test interviews!!

We have two runners today. Robin The Raven heads to Ludlow and Little Chunk to Kempton and for my thoughts on their chances please click here.

Sad news from Ireland. Maria O’Grady wife of trainer Eddie was killed when her horse fell out hunting. All our thoughts for Edward and family.
