Doncaster Sales yesterday was fairly busy. Horses in training in the morning and National Hunt Foals in the afternoon.

Both our horses sold and have new homes and I came home with no new inmates.

I bumped into David Watchman which rather surprised me.

David is an old mate from my Lambourn days and I hardly ever see him due to the fact that he is a top Irish flat trainer and frankly if I do see him it is at Royal Ascot where he is probably too busy, so it was good to catch up.. Although I have to say a jump bred foal sale was not where I  expected to see him..

David was over with Timmy Hyde (John Perriss leases Emily Gray from Timmy) and it was not long to see what was going on as Timmy went home with a few yearlings and he topped the sale with a Kayf Tara colt.

Thursday is our easy day here for the horses.

We have one runner today at Warwick. Battle Dust who should have run at Bangor yesterday runs in a much more competitive race today.. Anyway for my thoughts on his and chances please click here..
