Plus 4 and raining when driving in.

No sleet or snow.. yet?

David Bass was in for a couple of lots and then headed to Warwick.

Racing UK here third lot.. The Randox Health Grand National is just around the corner and the media hype has started.. The Last Samuri heads there, all being well, for his third attempt at winning it.. Third time lucky? I wonder..

Virginia Johnson was also here third lot to see her horse Cresswell Legend as were Mark and Melinda Laws to see Ben Arthur and their KBRP horse Knockanrawley.

Sad news.. Kerry Bellamy, my PA, is moving on to pastures new after nearly 12 years with me.

Kerry is and has been a huge part of Kim Bailey Racing and Thorndale Farm, but after those long years she is keen to branch out and get away from living the racing bubble..

Kerry, who was with Tom George before me feels it is time for change in life.

Kerry wants to have a three day week so she can concentrate on her new venture of flower arranging..By not being tied to my office she can at least head to flower markets early to buy flowers.. and as she says not having the racing world all day long.. that means I ring her too often after hours saying help… I cant use the computer..

We all wish her all the best, and along with all my owners we will miss her hugely.

SO If you are looking for a job in racing as a PA/ Secretary to a busy trainer you will need good communication skills, understand the racing world i.e. ownership and Weatherbys. Important to be able to use computers well.. as I don’t.. Help and manage our web site and look after owners when they come here, and cook breakfast… what a job .. now you can see why we will miss Kerry..Oh and if you can ride, you might have time when not busy to ride out as well.. That is for 6 mornings a week

Please apply to info@kimbaileyracing.com for further details and that does not mean that TNDGB or TUMCB need apply..

We have just the one runner at Warwick today. Aliandy and for my thoughts on his chances please click here.

The cricketing world still stunned by the Australian teams arrogance and stupidity.. Here is a very moving video which needs watching..
