29th August 2020

Plus 8 and dry when driving in.

Another wet afternoon yesterday. 5 inches of rain in my rain gauge this week .. sorry but that is daft?

Here we are on an August Bank holiday and it looks like being the coldest on record.. August 2020 has broken several records..

Saturday morning and no David Bass.

David had his operation yesterday and that all went well. I spoke to him last night and suggested that he should be in to ride out two lots, but he said that he was tied to his hospital bed so unable to be here!

Chester Williams and Ciaran Gething were in.. we worked plenty and jumped Commodore Barry, Red River, Shantou Express, Shinobi, Dansant Express, Sadlermor, Rose To Fame and Chazza

Andy Nixon was here second lot to see his KBRP horse Dansant Express..

I see the Mayor of Doncaster is far from happy with the thought of crowds at the St Leger meeting.. I can sort of see his point but we have to look at the bigger picture and move forward. We need these trials.. ’Elite sports’ and it wont be long after the St Leger meeting that Doncaster Rovers will have crowds..

My daughter Pandora now looks after and treasures our ex racechorse The Last Samuri.. TLS is turning out be a very capable show jumper..Great that these old boys have such a good life after their racing careers.. so desereved.

Plenty worry about why the should pay for their TV license after the way the BBC has been behaving..

Rachel Mackay, a manager for Historic Royal Palaces, gave a weary sigh when she received a familiar brown envelope addressed to “The Current Occupier, Kew Palace”, which has not been lived in for two centuries.

“Oh good,” she said, “it’s the time of year where I have to explain to the TV Licensing Authority why George III hasn’t paid his TV licence since 1820.”

Have a great Bank Holiday weekend.. Stay warm and see you on Monday.

Happy birthday to Cilla Wills.. Tomorrow is the big day.. Cilla has a share in the KBRP horse Voyburg

Todays non virus video nasty..
