Fair amount of rain about!
You think of summer when you mention the word Rose?
The flagrance of a rose would make anybody smile and Rose To Fame certainly did that yesterday when she won at Taunton.
A typical front running ride from stable jockey David Bass, who after having his face posted on my blog yesterday promoting the Tote, was beaming.. mind you many readers of my blog to have posted remarks like he has a 'good face for radio'..
Cherry Jones (also breeder) and Tom Wilson were at Taunton to support .. sadly Rose To Fame's other owners in Martin and Steve Broughton, Ros Weaver and Nicolas Jones were elsewhere, but all were very pleased to see her back to form after two slightly disappointing runs.
Drumreagh ran well again to finish 4th.. It was another good effort from her and she too was well supported by John Stanley, Chris Trigg and Paul Higgs.
Taunton were excellent at looking after owners.. Again helpful staff and a good lunch….

So good are some of these racecourses that some owners are going to be in for a shock when we have crowds again.. and lunches go out of the window.. well not literally.
Sad news.. Elaine Carson has died.. A remarkable person who adored her husband Willie, and he will be lost without her. too young..
An early start taking Party Fuzz, Inawhilecrocodile, Winter Glory and the 5 year old Schiaparelli / La Harde for an away day...
Marion Hudson was here third lot to see her KBRS horses Espoir De Romay and Younevercall.
We have decided to run Vinndication at Wetherby in the Charlie Hall on Saturday and take on Cyrname... Time to find out..
We sadly now have only one runner today at Stratford as Balleticon, who was due to run in the novice hurdle, cut a leg schooling yesterday.. Anyway we run Happygolucky and for my thoughts on his chances please click here
My missus left me for another bloke.
All that lies ahead now is a miserable, pointless life, with suicide seemingly the only way out.
And while the poor bugger's going through all that, I'll be down at the pub with my mates every night!
