Plus 13 and dry when driving in.

David Bass was in this morning for a couple of lots.

Well that was an exciting second day of the Ashes Test at Edgbaston.. A maiden century for Rory Burns and plenty of near misses.

The players had a good day it was not so good for the umpires.. too much pressure.. I am sure Nick Cook will have something to say on the matter.. No, he was not officiating yesterday..

Battaash was the star at Goodwood yesterday. This magnificent sprinter won the King George Qatar Stakes for the third time.. He is a monster and yesterday he nearly hit 50 mph.

I am heading to Dorset this afternoon .. Staying with Dermot and Vicky Clancy..

Dermot is responsible for me being at their local Cattistock Show tomorrow..

I seem to have plenty to do tomorrow including talking through the parade of ex racehorses while they parade in the main ring

I hope that Harry Fry is going to help me along with Anthony Honeyball, Harry Cobden and Bryony Frost..

The Racehorse Parade will include American, Zarkandar, Big Bucks, Ptit Zig, Pacha Du Polder, Dodging Bullets, Rock On Ruby, Opening Batsman and others.. It should be a fun day. Good weather I am sure will bring out the crowds..

Did you know...

The word 'politics' is derived from the word 'poly', meaning 'many', and the word 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites'.

On that happy note.. Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.
