Plus 10 and dry when driving in.. Rain on the way?

Jockey Tom Bellamy was in for a couple of lots this morning.

Helen Hibbert was here second lot to see her KBRP horse Milord.. Milord is due to make his chasing debut at Uttoxeter next week..

John and Penny Perriss’s new horses Rocky’s Treasure and Milan Express went home this morning for their summer holidays.

We are selling two at Ascot Sales today. Taras Rainbow and Lady Of Llanarmon. Both horses are being sold to dissolve their respective partnerships, both have great pedigrees and both have racing futures.

I cannot remember the last time I actually attended Ascot Sales.. It is not a sale I usually sell at, but the new format and new management of Tattersalls have encouraged me to enter these two horses.

I made the journey down the M4. I will of course be doing both in two weeks time when Sunblazer runs in the Ascot Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday June 14.. A first runner at the Royal meeting for me..

This weeks movers and shakers in the handicap charts are..Kilty Caul down 4 to 104, Grand March down 1 to 95, Nam Hai up 3 to 72 (flat rating after his win at Nottingham) and Aunty Ann enters at 119..

We hope to have a runner at Towcester this evening when Sonneofpresenting runs in the last at 5.10.. For my thoughts on his chances please click here..
