Plus 8 and raining when diving in.

A lovely afternoon spent at Ascot yesterday.

Sharing the journey with Norman Carter who lives just down the road near Winchcombe meant that I did not have to drive..

Owners are always well looked after at Ascot and a bonus was a visit to see Kevin Clancy  (Two For Gold ) in his box.. Great viewing and good company.

Sunblazer ran like a horse coming back into action. At least he showed his old spark as we were worried why he ran so badly last time..He ran well enough until 3 furlongs from home and there will be a great deal of improvement to come. … Not that many suitable races, so yesterdays race was needed.

Busy here this morning.

David Bass was in for a couple of lots.

A big team from CD Tours who were here for a morning on the gallops and breakfast. Peter Kerr back here after a week feeling poorly.

4th lot we had a visit from Hot To Trot Racing who were here to see their mare Early Learner..

Sam Hoskins brought 35 of his team..

David and Janey Allen, Charlotte Banks, Camilla Brownlow, Katie Bennett, Ben Bennett, Lucy Boyce,  John de Moraville, Jack and Jane Deverell, Wendy & Derick Faulkner, Peter and Jo Humphrey, Lesley Humphries,  Jeremy and Miranda  Ker, Tom King,  Jane Laing, Jeremy and Rosie Lowry, Francis and Julia Lukas, Susan and Victoria Oliver, Caroline Parsons, Graham Peck, Jane Sloan, Serena and Adrian Underwood, Carole Warren, Chris and Sue Whitaker and Bernie and Dorrie Willis.. I think that is the lot!

They all walked up the gallops in the rain..

Sally Grant called in to see her KBRP horse Red River.

Norman Carter brought his grandson Jack up to see his horses Sunblazer and Diamond Gait.

We have just the one runner this weekend and that is at Kelso tomorrow.

Talking wonder mares.. Winx won again this morning..28 wins on the trot.

A man is recovering from surgery when the Surgical Nurse appears and asks him how he is feeling.

'I'm O. K. But I didn't like the four letter-word the doctor used in surgery,' he answered.

'What did he say,' asked the nurse.

'Oops!'

Talking operations... Ben Love was sent home again yesterday..Another go today?
