Plus 14 and dry when driving in.

Thursday is our easy day and it is today after so many worked for the first time yesterday.

The AJ Bell Tour of England started in Scotland but be warned stage 6 passes right below us here at Thorndale tomorrow..

Jack de Bromhead's funeral yesterday..Huge crowds and how his parents and family coped I just don't know..This is just so shattering.

Moving on

A Service of Thanksgiving for Jim (AJ) Wilson will take place at St Peter and St Pauls Church in Northleach on September 21st at 2.30pm.

Further sad news.. James Delahooke, the well known bloodstock agent died yesterday. I was only fishing with him 4 weeks ago..

I knew James for the best part of 40 years..He was a great friend of my parents and somebody I grew up knowing so well.

James was a man who loved life and took it by the roots.. A huge family man who was immensely proud of them..The fun he had with his grand children was something he never stopped talking about..

Deepest condolences to his wife Angie and his brothers Mathew and Tom; four children, Amber, Rorie, Holly and Eve and nine grandchildren...

The Third and final Test match against South Africa starts today at The Oval.. Without Jonny Baistow who sustained an injury while playing golf!

To finish.. Happy birthday to Polly Wilson..
