Plus 5 and dry when driving in.

Not quite the weekend I had hoped for..

Hereford on Saturdaywe came home with two seconds when I though or hoped they might finish closer.

Both Chazza and Rosmuc Relay ran well, but both found a horse of Dan Skelton’s to beat them.. annoying.

Yesterday at Warwick where the ground was desperately tiring and as Henry Daly described like running on plasticine.. Henry was always good at modelling.

Miss Gemstone actually ran a blinder to finish 4th while Bobhopehopeornohope hated the ground and finished 5th.. to give you some idea what the ground was like 4 horses pulled up in the bumper including the hot favourite.. Thankfully all of our weekend runners are OK after their races.

Monday morning.

We worked Charbel and Younevercall..

John and Mandy Battershall were here first lot to see his KBRP horses Younevercall, Lord Apparelli and Hendra House.

Steve Adams was here second lot to see his KBRP horses Silver Kayf and Pond Road.

Andy and Sandy Page were here third lot to see their KBRP horses Shinobi and Blazon and the Racing For Maggies horse Another Venture.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people love abusing the social media platform.

Peter Kerr, who along with Maddie runs my Facebook page sent me a note to say that Mark Tems Does Not recommend Kim Bailey Racing.. 'Absolutely not. No professionalism from trainer, staff and jockeys…' Interesting that he should say that when I don’t recall meeting him and he certainly has not been here.

Then Jez Jeavons posted.. Third visit and no less a thrill. Genuine, warm and grounded people who operate at the highest level. If that’s not enough the quality and beauty in the stables. For anyone who has ever considered visiting a stable or considered horse ownership book up or get in touch, you will not be disappointed..

Clare and I are guests of Cheltenham racecourse at a pre Cheltenham lunch in the Chez Roux restaurant..

I am doing my last Cheltenham Preview evening tonight at the Wine Bar in Northleach.. Chester Williams is helping me as Mat has cried off..
