Plus 8 and dry when driving in.

Definitely feels colder!

We had 70 odd folk for the second running of the National Racehorse Week.. Clare and Mat's wife Evelyn served coffee, tea and biscuits for those early arrivals and when all were here we all watched Megan perform on Mr Beatle in the paddock..Di Arbuthnot who was meant to be talking about the ROR was held up so I did the talking on what Mr Beatle was doing.. I am not very good at talking over a dressage horse!.

Mat and I showed all round the stables and the horses while my team carried on doing evening stables as they would on any night. Horses behaved and I hope all enjoyed their visit.

One of my sporting heroes has decided to retire.. Roger Federer.. The man of charm, calm and dedicated passion for his sport and what a brilliant tennis player.

Talking brilliant.. Harrison Beswick, who rode out here all last season, won the big jump race in America last night.. The Lonesome Glory Handicap Hurdle (Grade1) at Belmont Park on Noah and the Ark who incidentally is an ex English pointer to pointer..

Friday morning and we took Voyburg, Samatian, Alnatak, Shantou Express, Lets Go Amigo and Design Icon for an away day..

Archie is playing cricket for the next three days at Loughborough.. England Lions trials..

There are two types of people in the UK.. Those who queued to walk past our Queen Elizabeth lying in State and those who watched.. Sadly I am mesmerised by the latter.

Clare, Harry, Pandora and I walked past the Queen Mother when she too was lying in State.. Harry told how much he remembered when we talked yesterday..
