Plus 6 and raining when driving in.

Rain needed..I walked Cheltenham racecourse yesterday and it was only good ground.. I have to say that I did not break any speed records on my walk and I only realised how slowly I was walking when a tortoise passed me..It is that mild for this time of year that it must have mistaken the seasons and come out of hibernation..

Some might have said the same about The Edgar Wallace at Ffos Las but he looked all over the winner turning for home and I just wonder if he actually saw out the trip.. It was his first time over 3 miles?

The Staff Christmas party at The Royal Oak went off well.. David chucked in or in this case bought a round of orange juice for starters..That went down well.. Anyway I hope they enjoyed, and all made it in this morning.. They are a good team and I really appreciate all their hard work, as I am sure you do too..

DPD deliveries have been totally useless these last two weeks.. Mrs B might need me to call in at the local garage on Sunday to buy her a present..!!

The Hare was once boasting of his speed before the other animals. "I have never yet been beaten," said he, "when I put forth my full speed. I challenge any one here to race with me."

The Tortoise said quietly, "I accept your challenge."

"That is a good joke," said the Hare; "I could dance round you all the way."

"Keep your boasting till you've won," answered the Tortoise. "Shall we race?"

So a course was fixed and a start was made. The Hare darted almost out of sight at once, but soon stopped and, to show his contempt for the Tortoise, lay down to have a nap. The Tortoise plodded on and plodded on, and when the Hare awoke from his nap, he saw the Tortoise just near the winning-post and could not run up in time to save the race.

Then the Tortoise said: "Slow but steady progress wins the race."

To finish.. Happy birthday to team member Joe..

Not even at the staff party!!
