Plus 5 and dry when driving in.

This morning we worked Patsys Castle and Forgotten Hero.

Our Vodafone signal in this area GL544LL has gone/died/removed. Something odd has happened as for the last week it has disappeared and it is driving Mat and I mad.. I don’t seem to have any signal at home, even with a vodfone booster box. It is bloody annoying, probably more so for Mat as he is never off it!!

This weeks movers and shakers in the handicap charts are.. Abbreviate down 3 to 122, Faerie Reel down 1 to 119, Grand March down 3 o 96, King Simba up 5 to 109, Mor Brook down 4 to 98, Thedrinkymeister up 5 to 116 and Younevercall up 9 to 135.

Aer Lingus again.. Am I wise?

If my flight takes off on time or at all.. then..

Heading to Punchestown this morning and will be there until Friday. Charbel runs there today and David Bass rides.. Net Work Rouge runs on Thursday.. For my thoughts on Charbel's chances today please click here..

Congratulations to Alex Fetherston-Godley on completing his first marathon in London on Sunday in a very respectable time of 3hrs 34 minutes and 43 seconds.

Alex's father Martin and I, when playing cricket for Lambourn, were once chastised by David Nicholson for walking rather than running between the wickets so Alex clearly does not get his running ability from his father.

Alex was running on behalf of the Royal British Legion. Among others to complete the race for the first time on Sunday was David & Kathryn Todd's youngest daughter Georgia who was running on behalf of Children with Cancer UK.. Ed Keating sent this email over yesterday..

''Nice blog this morning with interesting round up of the season. I have thoroughly enjoyed following the stable throughout the season from blogs, jokes, photos, videos, your interviews, some nice winners and of course the hard luck stories!

Molly's A Diva was a great memory for me at Ffos Las, (you reminded me of the star that didnt run that day!) plus Emily Gray at Huntingdon and Fairyhouse, Milord at Towcester, Sunblazer at Wolves, and of course, The Last Samuri..almost...all very exciting shouting him home from my sitting room, as you were losing your voice!

I look forward to more of the same this season, and wish you and all the hard working team the very best of luck.

Looking forward to making that stable morning at Thorndale Farm, hopefully in the autumn.''
