Plus 1 and snowing when driving in. Yes winters really here this morning!

Sad to hear that Red Cadeaux, who was such a fabulous horse for my mate Ed Dunlop, died last night. RC was injured in the Melbourne Cup a couple of weeks ago. What a horse and what an unbelievable international career.

Laurence Rostron and Dorothy Norman were here for a morning on the gallops followed by breakfast as booked through CD Tours.

John Benson and his son Seve were also here to see John's two KBRP horses Our Belle Amie and The Grey Kayf Tara gelding.

Peter Kerr here too..

I was away early with runners at Ascot while Mat headed to Huntingdon.

Kalanisi Glen and Kilty Caul run at Ascot while Same Ole Trix and Trojan Star, who has had a breathing operation since his last run, run at Huntingdon.. For my thoughts on their respective chances please click here.

If you are one of my owners and were wondering why you received your horses weekly update on a Friday night rather than the usual Sunday morning..

Tonight Clare and I are staying with Martin and Kate F-G and attending the Hannon’s triplets 40th Birthday party.. fancy dress..I might not feel like emailing you on Sunday?

Q: Is Google male or female?

A: Female, because it doesn't let you finish a sentence before making a suggestion.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday
